Be sure to read ourprohibited items page to avoid any surprises on moving day. Our movers are not permitted to transport certain items, including hot tubs, flammables, pool tables and cleaning supplies.
Familiarize yourself with our Terms and Conditions of Service. This will provide clarity on our policies and procedures. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out by phone or email.
Check the weather forecast before your move. If bad weather is expected, extra preparation may be needed. Any additional time will be charged at your booked rate.
Reserve the elevator at your load and unload locations for a faster move. Contact your building’s front desk to secure an elevator key.
Confirm with your realtor that you have the keys to your new home/apartment and that it is ready for move-in.
Make travel arrangements for your pets. Ensure they have the necessary health certificates or inoculations, as required by your new state.
House Preparation
Ensure all boxes are sealed and properly packed for transit.
Empty all furniture items and surfaces.
Clearly label the items that will be moved.
Confirm that you’ve packed or discarded everything that won’t be moved.
If you're packing yourself, make sure everything is ready before moving day. The driver will check to ensure boxes are packed properly.
Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment is prepared for transport. All appliances need to be disconnected.Label any boxes or items you’ll want to access first upon arrival at your new home.
Unplug all electronic devices and turn off water supply to appliances like washers, dryers, ice makers, and refrigerators. Unplug your freezer the day before your move and keep the doors open to ensure it has time to defrost and is ready for transfer.
Mark any fragile items needing special attention.
Verify all windows are shut and locked.
Have old house/apartment keys ready to surrender after the move.

Day of Move
Be available to accept delivery. If you can’t be there, designate an authorized adult to receive your items and pay any remaining charges.
On delivery day, the driver will contact you with an estimated arrival time. During unloading, direct the movers on where to place furniture and rugs. Beds that were disassembled will be reassembled upon arrival.
Provide a floor plan or guide to help movers know where to place items in your new home (ex: Master Bedroom, Living Room, Kitchen, Garage).
